This page is dedicated to the projects I've made for Buffa's Dance Studio and the Burke Civic Ballet.  For the last five years or so, my daughter, Emily, has taken ballet, jazz, tap and lyrical classes at Buffa's Dance Studio and has participated in the outstanding Nutcracker Ballet performance, put on by the Burke Civic Ballet, which is produced, directed, choreographed and arranged by the instructors at Buffa's studio.

Below, you'll find some pictures of some of the projects I've made.  I've also done some odds and end jobs around the studio that doesn't warrant a boring picture.

Dimes
Recital 2003 : Dance #

These had to be light enough for the girls to pick up and dance with, but also strong enough for the girls to dance ON!!!

Swords and Rifles
Nutcracker Ballet

The crooked swords are for the mouse king and the straight one for the Nutcracker.  I made two each, as a backup.  I've made over 20 rifles for the battle scene.

Low Lying Smoke Machine
Not used...

This was a cool project and it worked great in my garage, but the stage was just to big and it was never used....

Recital 2006 : Dance #

These also had to be light enough for the girls to pick up and dance with, but also strong enough for the girls to dance ON!!!

Freeze Frame
Recital 2006 : Dance #

This was supposed to be a gigantic picture frame that the dancers would dance in and out of, along with pose in.  They danced to the classic J. Giells Band - Freeze Frame

Junior Performing Arts (JPA) Projects
Recital 2006
Dance #

These are hat racks that had cowboy hats hung on during one of the recital dance numbers.  The lovely Danielle Hogan ended up painting them silver glitter, which made 'em look that much better.

This is the grill I made for the Greased Lightening car that Mr. Mike Kania built.
