Made from "Home Depot" 3/4" Oak and stained with Watco's Light Walnut Danish Oil, followed by spray, then wipe-on poly...
I think Ally is digging it!!!  It's tough enough for Emily to get on, too...Even ME, for that matter...


Note:   I got the plans out of Norm Abrahms New Yankee Workshop book.  If you build something based on the plans in his books, be prepared for a lot of frustration.  I cut and milled everything, precisely to his instructions, and when it came to dry fitting, nothing lined up.  This project has quite a few compound angles and his plans neglect to mention any compound cuts during the procedure.  So I had to improvise to get things to line up and joints to fit tight.  I think I did a good job, all things considered.  I hope you like it...
